Warranty

Our lamps that we produce are warrantied against defects for as long as you own it including parts and labor. If you ever have a problem with your lamp please unplug it and contact us right away. If you happen to damage your lamp, please let us know and we can discuss repair options, many times at no charge. The warranty does not include the bulbs or the re-purposed cigar boxes. The boxes are usually pretty rare but if you have a problem with your box please contact us anyhow and we’ll see we can repair it or maybe find a replacement. We want everyone to be happy with their lamp and our service.

Care for your lamp

Caring for your lamp is easy. It doesn’t require any maintenance and usually only needs occasional dusting. When dusting simply use a cloth with Pledge or a dusting wipe. If your lamp has a mica shade, dust the mica carefully as to not lift any of the natural flakes. Wax isn’t necessary as it can build up over time and require additional care. If something spills on or just gets on the surface just wipe with a damp cloth or if needed you could use a little window cleaner on the cloth.

Our Cigar box lamps have a removable bottom liner to help with clean up. With the box empty simply grab the ribbon loop attached to the front edge of the liner and lift out. From there you can wipe or brush off any pocket debris on the liner, and with the liner out you can blow out or vacuum the inside of the box. The liner is not waterproof so don’t try and wash it or get it wet.

On some lamps we use solid brass fittings that are unfinished and we polish them before assembly. If some of your brass parts start to look dull, wipe them down with Brasso brand polish (or any metal polish compatible with brass), just try to avoid getting it on the wood as it’s not good for the finish. Brasso is great stuff and works well on a lot of things so it’s handy to have around house anyhow, just follow the directions.
